Memory Chip Cards
Memory cards are chip cards, with a memory chip. There are two main types of memory cards available: the simple memory card and the intelligent memory card. The simple memory cards are used for storage of data without any security functionality, whereas the intelligent memory cards have a security scheme with PIN protection. Memory cards can be used for Telecommunication, Health Insurance, Banking, or Loyalty cards.
Microcontroller Cards
The microcontroller card is essentially a computer on a plastic card. This type of card has been especially designed for security applications where special identification and authentication are required. These cards are most commonly used in the following areas: Telecommunication (e.g. SIM cards), Banking, Health and identification (ID Cards). Microcontroller cards are available as laminated PVC / PET or as moulded ABS cards. Additionally, the laminated cards can also have the following features: A magnetic stripe (LoCo, HiCo), hologram or a signature panel.We provide the following state-of-the-art personalisation processes:
